Sheffield Light

Light is a small Charity run by volunteers providing support across Sheffield to families affected by perinatal mental heath illnesses, including post natal depression and anxiety. Light does not offer medical advice – it provides peer to peer support, buddying, telephone and email support.

LATEST NEWS

PLEASE NOTE – THERE WILL BE NO GROUP AT BRIGHTSIDE CHILDREN’S CENTRE THIS WEEK (FRIDAY 3rd June 2016)
We have two new support groups recently started and are requesting volunteers to help us run our ‘drop in’ and ‘coffee mornings’ at our new premises. See SUPPORT pages for more information.

A new fundraising page has been created in memory of Claire Turley who died suddenly recently.

Ian’s fundraising page can be accessed from the following link:

You may not have realised because she battled it with a smile on her face but Claire suffered from post natal depression and anxiety following the birth of our son. She received massive support from the groups linked to Light. Please give generously to help them to continue to help others and to raise awareness of post natal depression. Thank you (Ian Turley – Claires husband)
